In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
